 - Pra poo mee pra pak jao , bpen pra ara-han, dap plerng gi-let plerng took sin cherng , dtras roo chop dai doi  pra ong eng.  (The Blessed One far from defilements perfectly Enlightened by himself.)

Buddham  bhagavantam  abhivademi.

- ka-pa-jao a-pi wat pra poo mee pra pak jao, poo roo poo dteun poo berk ban. (Revers to Buddha, the Blessed One.)

Svakkhato bhagavata dhammo.

  - Pra tam bpen tam tee pra poo mee pra pak jao, dtrat wai dee laew. (The Dhamma perfectly pronounced by the Blessed One.)

Dhammam namassami.

   - Ka-pa-jao namasa gan pra tam. (Revere to the Dhamma)

Supatipanno bhagavato savaka-sangho.

  - Pra song sa-wok khong pra poo mee pra pak jao, bpa-dti-bat  dee laew. (The sangha of Holy Disciples of the Blessed One established on the right way well.)

  - Bpen kroo poo son, khong tevada lae ma-noot tang lai,(Teacher of havenly beings and human beings)

Yo imam lokam sadevakam samarakam sabrahmakam, Sassamana-brahmanim pajam sadeva-manussam sayam abhinna  sacchikatva pavedesi,

  - Pra poo mee pra pak jao pra ong dai , dai song tam kwam dap took hai jaeng duay pra bpan-ya an ying eng laew , song son lohk  nee prom tang tevada, marn , prom, lae moo sat prom tang samana pram , prom tank tevada lae ma-noot  hai roo dtam, (Who made known - having realized it through direct knowledge -this world with its heavenly beings, maras, and brahmas, its generations with their contemplatives and priests, their rulers and common people)

Sattham sabyanjanam kevala-paripunnam parisuddham brahma-cariyam pakasesi,

  - Song bpra-gat prom-ma-jan keu baep haeng gan bpa-dti-bat  an bpra-sert bor-ri soot bor-ri-boon sin cherng , prom tang atta , prom tang pa-yan chana, (Who exponded the holy life both in its particulars and in its essence , entirely complete, surpassingly pure

Ta-ma-ham bhagavantam abhipujayami,

  - Ka-pa-jao boo-cha yang ying , cha-por pra poo mee pra pak jao pra ong nan, (I worship most highly that Blessed One

Ta-ma-ham  bhagavantam sirasa namami.

  - Ka-pa-jao nop-nom pra poo mee pra pak jao pra ong nan, duay sian glao. (To that Blessed One I bow my head down)

  - Bpen sing tee kuan glao ga poo eun wa, tan jong ma doo tert, (Inviting all to come and see

Opanayiko

  - Bpen sing tee kuan nom kao ma sai dtua, (Leading onward)

Paccattam veditabbo vinnuhi,

  - Bpen sing tee poo roo gor roo dai cha-por dton,(Directly experienceable by the wise)

Ta-ma-ham dhammam abhipujayami,

  - Ka-pa-jao boo-cha yang ying  cha-por pra tam nan,(I worship most highly that Dhamma)

Ta-ma-ham dhammam sirasa namami,

  - Ka-pa-jao nop-nom pra tam nan , duay sian glao.(To that Dhamma I bow my head down)

Naya-patipanno bhagavato savaka-sangho,

  - Song sa-wok khong pra poo mee pra pak jao moo dai,bpa-dti-bat peua roo tam bpen kreuang org jak took laew,(Of wise conduct is the Order of the Disciples of the Blessed One)

Samici-patipanno bhagavato savaka-sangho,

  - Song sa-wok khong pra poo mee pra pak jao moo dai, bpa-dti-bat  som kuan laew, (Of dutiful conduct is the Order of the Disciples of the Blessed One)

Yadidam,

   - Dai gae book-kon lao nee keu, (These are)

Cattari purisa-yugani attha pusisa-puggala,

  - Koo haeng boo-root see koo, nap riang dtua boo-root dai bpad boo-root, (The four pairs - the eight types -of Noble Ones)

Esa bhagavato savaka-sangho,

   - Nan lae song sa-wok khong pra poo mee pra pak jao,(That is the Sangha of the Blessed One's disciples)

Ahuneyyo,

  - Bpen song kuan gae sak-ga-ra tee kao nam ma boo-cha,(Worthy of gifts)

Pahuneyyo,

  - Bpen song kuan gae sak-ga-ra tee kao jat wai dton rap, (Worthy of hospitality)

Dakkhineyyo,

  - Bpen poo kuan rap tak-si-na tan, (Worthy of offerings)

Anjali-karaniyo,

  - Bpen poo tee book-kon tua bpai kuan tam an-cha-lee,(Worthy of reverential salutation)

Anuttaram punnakkhettam lokassa,

  - Bpen neua na boon khong lohk, mai mee na boon eun ying gwa ,(The incomparable field of merit for the world)

Ta-ma-ham sangham abhipujayami

  - Ka-pa-jao boo-cha yang ying , cha-por pra song moo nan ,(I worship most highly that sangha)

Ta-ma-ham sangham sirasa namami,

  - Ka-pa-jao nop-nom pra song moo nan, duay sian glao.(To that Sangha I bow my head down)

(LEAD ; Handa mayam ratanattayappannama-gathayo ceva samvega-parikittana-pathanca bhanama se.) (Now let us recite the stanzas in salutation to the Triple Gem together with the passage on the topics inspiring a sense of chastened dispassion)

Buddho susuddho karuna-mahannavo,

  - Pra-poot-ta-jao poo-bor-ri-soot  mee pra ga-roo-na doot huang ma-han-nop,(The Buddha , well-purified, with ocean -like compassion)

Yoccanta-suddhabbara-yana-locano,

  - Pra ong dai mee dta keu yan an bpra-sert mot jot teung tee soot, (Possessed of the eye of knowledge completely purified)

Lokassa papupakilesa-ghatako,

   - Bpen poo ka sia seung bap, lae oopa gi-let khong lohk, (Destroyer ot the evils and difilement of the world)

Vandami buddham ahama-darena tam,

   - Ka-pa-jao wai pra-poot-ta-jao pra ong nan , doi jai kao-rop eua feua, (I revere that Buddha with devotion)

Dhammo padipo viya tassa satthuno,

  - Pra tam khong pra sasada, sa-wang roong-reuang bpriap duang bpra-teep, (The teacher's Dhamma, like a lamp)

Yo magga-pakamata-bhedaphinnako,

  - Jam-naek bpra-pet keu mag pon nippan, suan dai, (Divided into Path, fruition , and the Final Goal, [the extinction of all defilement and suffering])

Lokuttaro yo ca tad-attha-dipano,

  - Seung bpen dtua loh-goot-dta-ra, lae suan dai tee chee naew haeng loh-goot-gta-ra nan, (Both trancendent itself and showing the way to that goal)

Vandami dhammam ahama-darena tam,

   - Ka-pa-jao wai pra-poot-ta-jao pra ong nan, doi jai kao-rop eua feua,(I revere that Buddha with devotion)

Dhammo  padipo viya tassa satthuno

   - Pra tam khong pra sasada, sa-wang roong-reuang bpriap duang bpra-teep,(The Teacher's Dhamma, like a lamp)

Yo Magga-pakamata-bhedabhinnako,

  - Jam-neak bpra-pet keu mag pon nippan , suan dai , (Divided into Path, Fruition, and the Final Goal,[the extinction of all defilement and suffering ])

Lokuttaro yo ca ta-dattha-dipano,

  - Seung bpen dtua loh-goot-dta-ra, lae suan dai tee chee naew haeng loh-goot-dta-ra nan,(Both transcendent itself and showing  the way to that goal)

Vandami dhammanm aha-madarena tam,

  - Ka-pa-jao wai pra tam nan, doi jai kao-rop eua feua,(I revere that Dhamma with devotion)

Sangho sukhettabhyatikhetta-sannito,

  - Pra song bpen na boon an ying yai gwa na boon an dee tang lai, (The Sangha, is the best merit field of all)

Yo dittha-santo sugatanubodhako,

  - Bpen poo hen pra nippan , dtras roo dtam pra soo-kot , moo dai,(Who have seen the extinction of all defilements and suffering , Enlightment  after the Blessed One gone the good way)

Lolappahino ariyo sumedhaso,

  - Bpen poo la gi-let kreuang loh-lay, bpen pra a-ri-ya jao mee  bpan-ya dee, (Who have abandoned defilements-the noble ones, the wiser)

Vandami sangham aha-madarena tam,

  - Ka-pa-jao wai pra song moo nan, doi jai kao-rop eua feua, (I revere that Sangha with devotion)

Icceva-mekantabhipujaneyyakam, Vatthuttayam vandayatabhisankhatam, Punnam maya yam mama sabbupaddava, Ma hontu ve tassa pabhava-siddhiya.

  - Boon dai tee ka-pa-jao wai yoo seung wat dtoo sam, keu pra ratana dtrai an kuan boo-cha ying doi suan dieow, dai  gra-tam laew bpen yang ying  chen nee nee, kor oo-bpat-ta wa tang lai , jong ya mee gae ka-pa-jao loie, duay amnat kwam sam-ret an gert jak boon nan.(By the power of the merit I have made in giving reverence to the Triple Gem Worthy of only the highest homage, May no evil behalf upon me

Araham samma-sambuddho,

  - Bpen poo glai jak gi-let, dtras  roo chop dai doi pra ong eng,(The Blessed One far from defilements, perfectly Enlightended by himself)

Dhammo ca desito niyyaniko,

  - Lae pra tam tee  song sa daeng , bpen tam kreuang  org jak took,(And Dhamma is explained , leading out of suffering

Upasamiko parinibbahiko,

  - Bpen kreuang sa-ngop gi-let , bpen bpai peua bpari-nip-pan, (Calming, tending toward total Nibbana)

Sambodhagami sugatappavedito,

  - Bpen bpai peua kwam roo prom, bpen tam tee pra-soo-kot bpra-gat,(Going to self-awakening, the Dhamma declared by the Blessed One)

Mayan-tam dhammam sutva evam janama,

  - Puak rao meua dai fang tam nan laew , jeung dai roo yang nee wa, (Having heard the Dhamma , we know that )

Jatipi dukkha,

  - Mae Kwam gert gor bpen took, (Birth is suffering)

Jarapi dukkha,

  - Mae kwam gae gor bpen took, (Aging is suffering )

Maranampi dukkham,

  - Mae kwam dtai gor bpen took,(Death is suffering)

Soka-parideva-dukkha-domanassupayasapi dukkha,

  - Mae kwam sohk , kwam ram-rai ram pan ,kwam mai sa-bai gai , kwam mai sa-bai jai, kwam kap kaen jai, gor bpen took, (Sorrow, lamentation, pain , distress and despair are suffering)

Appiyehi sampayogo dukkho,

  - Kwam bpra-sop gap sing mai bpen tee rak tee por jai gor bpen took, (Association with things disliked is suffering)

Piyehi vippayogo dukkho,

  - Kwam plat prak jak sing bphen tee rak tee por jai gor bpen  took,(Separation from things liked is suffering )

Yampiccham na labhati tampi dukkham,

  - Mee kwam bprat-ta-na sing dai, mai dai sing nan, nan gor bpen took, (Not getting what one wants is suffering)

Sankhittena pancupadanakkhandha dukkha,

  - Wa doi yor, oo-bpa-tan kan tang ha  bpen dtua took,(In short, the five clinging-aggregates are suffering )

Seyyathidam,

  - Dai gae sing lao nee keu,(Namely)

Rupupadanakkhandho,

  - Kan an bpen tee dtang haeng kwam yeut-man keu roop, (Form as a clinging-aggregate)

Vedanupadanakkhandho,

  - Kan an bpen tee dtang haeng kwam yeut-man keu Wetana,(Feeling as a clinging-aggregate)

Sannupadanakkhandho,

  - Kan  an bpen tee dtang haeng kwam yeut-man keu san-ya,(Perception as a clinging-aggregate)

Sankharupadanakkhandho,

  - Kan an bpen tee dtang haeng kwam yeut-man keu sang-kan, (Mental formations as a clinging-aggregate)

Vinnanupadanakkhandho,

  - Kan an bpen tee dtang haeng kwam yeut-man keu win-yan,(Consciousness as a clinging-aggregate)

Yesam parinnaya,

  - Peua hai sa-wok gam-not rop roo oo-bpa-tan kan lao nee eng, (So that they might fully understand these)

Dharamano so bhagava

   -Jeung pra poo mee pra pak jao nan, meua yang song pra chon yoo,(The  Blessed One, while still alive)

Evam bahulam savake vineti,

  - Yom song nae-nam sa-wok tang lai, chen nee bpen suan mak, (Often instructed his listeners in this way)

Evam bhaga ca panassa  bhagavato savakesu anusasani, Bahulam pavattati,

   -  A-neung kam sang son khong pra poo mee pra pak jao nan, yom bpen bpai nai sa-wok tang lai , suan mak, mee suan keu gan jam-naek yang nee wa, (Many times did he emphasize  this part of his admonition)

Rupam aniccam,

  - Roop mai tiang ,(Form is impermanent)

Vedana anicca,

  - Wetana mai tiang (Feeling is impermanent)

Sanna anicca,

  - San-ya mai tiang, (Perception is impermanent)

Sankhara anicca,

  - Sang-kan mai tiang, (Mental formations are impermanent)

Vinnanam aniccan,

  - Win-yan mai tiang, (Conciousness is impermanent)

Rupam anatta,

  - Roop mai chai dtua dton, (Form is not-self)

Vedana anatta,

  - Wetana mai chai dtua dton, (Feeling is not-self)

Sanna anatta,

  - San-ya mai chai dtua dton,(Perception is not-self)

Sangkhara anatta,

  - Sang-kan mai chai dtua dton, (Mental formations are not-self)

Vinnanam anatta,

  - Win-yan mai chai dtua dton. (Conciousness is not-self)

Sabbe sankhara anicca,

  - Sang-kan tang lai tang bpuang mai tiang, (All mental formations are impermanent)

Sabbe dhamma anatta,

  - Tam tang lai tang bpuang mai chai dtua dton dang nee,(A;; phenomena are not-self)

Te (women:Ta) mayam otinnamaha,

  - Puak rao tang lai bpen poo took krop ngam laew, (All of us, be possessed by)

Jatiya,

  - Doi kwam gert, (Birth)

Jara-maranena,

  - Doi kwam gae lae kwam dtai, (Aging and death)

Sokehi paridevehi dukkhehi domanassehi upayasehi,

  - Doi kwam sohk, kwam ram-rai ram pan , kwam mai sa-bai gai, kwam mai sa-bai jai, kwam kap kaen jai, tang lai,(By sorrows, lamentations, pains, distresses and despairs)

Dukkhotinna,

  - Bpen poo thook kwam took yang ao laew, (Beset by suffering)

Dukkhopareta,

  - Bpen poo mee kwam took bpen beuang-na laew, (Suffering is awaiting)

Appeva namimassa  kevalassa dukkhakkhandhassa antakiriya pannayethati.

  - Tam cha-nai gan tam tee soot haeng gong took tang sin nee, ja peung bpra-got chat gae rao dai.(What path that leads to the Cessation of the whole mass of suffering  should I clearly understand and to practicel)

 

Pray for Monks and  Novices to Recite

 

Cira-parinibbutampi tam bhagavantam udissa arahantam sammasambuddham ,

-     Rao tang lai u-dis cha-por pra poo mee pra pak jao, poo glai jak gi-let ,dtras roo chop dai doi pra ong eng mae  bpari-nip-pan nan laew pra ong nan, (We all devote  ourselves to the accomplished one who is distancing himself from all defilements and becomes Self-enlightened, though he passed away a long time ago)

 

Saddha agarasma anagariyam pabbajita ,

-     pen poo mee  sad dha org  boud  jak ruen laew mai geaw kong doi ruen laew, (We have gone forth with faith from home to homelessness)

 

Tasmiming bhagavati brahmacariyam carama,

-     pra phued yoo sueng phrom maa jan nai pra poo mee pra pak jao pra ong nan , (Following the Blessed One to practice the holy life)

 

Bhikkhunam sikkhasajivasamapanna,

-      thueng prom doi sig kha lae tam pen kueng liang chee vit kong bhik su tang lai , (Being fully equipped with the  monks training rules and livelihood)

 

 

Tam no brahmacariyam imassa kevalassa dukkhakkhandhassa antakiriyaya

samvattatu.

-     koe hai phrom maa jan kong rao tang lain an, jong pen pai  

     phue kan tam tee sud hang gong tuk tang sin nee  tern..n.

 

          (May this holy li

fe leads us to the end of this whole mass of  suffering) 

 

 

Pray for the layman   

 

 

Cira-parinibbutampi tam bhagavantam saranam gata,

   - Rao tang lai poo teung laew , seung pro poo mee pra pak jao , mae bpari-nip-pan nan laew, pra ong nan bpen sarana, (We go to the Buddha for refuge . Though the Blessed One  who has long gone)

 

Dhammanca sanghanca,

  - Teung pra tam duay , teung pra song duay, (And also to the Dhamma  and the Sangha)

 

Tassa bhagavato sasanam yatha-sati yathabalam , manasikaroma  anupatipajjama,

  - Jak tam nai jai yoo , bpa-dti-bat dtam yoo, seung kam sung son khong pra poo mee pra pak jao nan dtam sa-dti gam-lang, (We attend to the instruction of the Blessed One, as fas as our mindfulness and strength will allow , and we practice accordingly)

 

Sa sa no patipatti,

  - Kor hai kwam bpa-dti-bat nan nan khong rao tang lai, (May this practice of ours)

 

Imassa kevalassa dukkhakkhandhassa antakiriyaya samvattatu.

  - Jong bpen bpai peua gan tam tee soot haeng gong took tang sin nee tern , (Bring about the end of this whole mass of suffering)

  - Ma-lai sin jak san-dan, (May they guickly perish)

   - Oh-gat ya peung mee, gae moo man sin tang lai, (May there be no opportunities for harmful influences)

Katunca viriyesu me,

   -Bpen chong bpra-too-sa-rai tam lai lang  kwam pian jom, (To weaken my efforts)

Buddhadhipavaro natho,

  - Pra poot poo bor-won nat,(The Buddha is the unexcelled protector)

Dhammo natho varuttamo,

   Jong bpen sook bpen sook tert, ya dai pa-ya-bat biat bian seung gan lae gan loie, (May they be happy. Refrain from malevolence and oppression one another)

Anigha hohntu,

   Jong bpen sook bpen sook tert , ya dai mee kwam took gai took jai loie, (May they be happy. Resign from physical and mental worries)

Sukhi attanam pariharantu.

   Jong mee kwam sook gai sook jai, rak-sa dton hai pon jak took pai tang sin ter-n. (May they be sound in body and mind . Protect themselves from all sufferings and dangers.)

Five Supjects for Frequent Recollection

 

(อะภิณหะปัจจะเวกขะณะ-Abhinhapaccavekkhana)

(LEAD : Handa mayam abhinha-paccavekkhana-patham bhanama se.) (Let us now recite the passage for frequent recollection.)

(RECEIVE:)

 

Jara-dhammomhi, Jaram anatito (women:anatita),

   Rao mee kwam gae bpen tam-ma-da, ja luang pon kwam gae bpai mai dai, (I am subject to aging , aging is unavoidable)

 

Byadhi-dhammomhi, Byadhim anatito (women:anatita),

   Rao mee  kwam jep kai bpen tam-ma-da, ja luang kwam jep kai bpai mai dai, (I am subject to illness, illness is unavoidable)

 

Marama-dhammomhi, Maranam anatito (women:anatita),

   Rao mee kwam dtai bpen tam-ma-da, ja luang pon kwam dtai bpai mai dai, (I am subject to death, death is unavoidable)

 

Sabbehi me piyehi manapehi nana-bhavo vina-bhavo,

   Rao jak plat prak jak kong rak kong chob jai tang lai, (Seperate from all that is dear and appealling to me)

 

Kammassakomhi,

   Rao mee gam bpen kong kong dton, (I am the owner of my actions)

 

Kamma-dayado (women:dayada),

   Rao ja dtong bpen pu rap pon kong gam nan, (Heir to my actions)

 

Kamma-yoni,

   Rao mee gam bpen dan gert, (Born of my actions)

 

Kamma-bandhu,

   Rao mee gam bpen pao pan, (Related through my actions)

 

Kamma-patisarono (women:patisarana)

   Rao mee gam bpen tee peung a-sai, (And live dependent on my actions)

 

Yam kammam karissami,

   Rao tam gam an dai wai ,( Whatever I do)

 

Kalyanam va papakam va,

   Bpen gam dee gor tam, bpen gam choe gor tam, (For good or for evil)

 

Tassa dayado (women:dayada) bhavissami,

   Rao jak dtong bpen poo rab pon kong gam nan , (To that will I fall heir)

 

Abhinham paccavekkhitabbam.

   Rao tang lai peung pi-ja-ra-na neuang neuang  yang nee lae, (We should often reflect on this)
